At the end of March, I thought it would be easier if Harper was already trained to sleep in a toddler bed before the baby comes. So, James removed one side of the crib and put up the toddler railing. Harper did great the first two days; she stayed in bed both for her nap and at bedtime. On the third day, during nap time, I thought I heard legos so I went to investigate. I found Harper at her Lego Table flipping through her picture Book of Mormon. I put her back in bed but she got out again two more times. Finally, fed up, I got out her Pack-n-Play and set it up in her room for her to nap in. I put her in the Pack-n-Play and left. Two minutes later I heard Harper playing her piano. She had learned to climb out of the Pack-n-Play. Needless to say she did not take a nap that day but I did make her stay in her room for an hour. That night, as I was singing to her she kept getting out of bed. Frustrated I called for James and we put the crib railing back up. It is April 18 and she is still sleeping in her crib; not sure when we will try the toddler bed again.
