43rd Birthday

On April 13, Harper and I drove to Olympia for Greta's violin concert at the State Capital.  After the concert, Derek, Alexis, Evan, and Greta drove to Monte and had a Bratwurst mit Brotchen Birthday dinner for me.  Harper had a great time playing outside with Evan and Greta.  At one point James looked outside and asked if Harper was drinking the water from the puddles.  It turned out that she actually was using the puddle water to wash her face.  Needless to say she was a muddy mess when she came in and she had an immediate bath.

Evan and Harper headed out to play in the mud.

 Alexis made me birthday cupcakes.

On Sunday, when I came home from church there were cutout hearts on the front door with messages for me.  James also rigged a piece of paper containing more hearts the coat closet door so that when I opened it they fell down.  For dinner James made French Toast and surprised me with a chocolate cake.  My friend Kaye Handley took me out to lunch the next day.
