Staying with Cousins

James had a Cross Country meet in Wenatchee and so I decided to take the kids to Derek and Alexis's.  Alexis graciously watched the kids for me so I could go to the Temple.  I haven't been able to go to the temple for 3 months and I can tell the difference in my life.  Usually if you don't have your own family names, you can only do 3 temple names for intitatories.  But since there was no one there but me I got  to do 9 names and spend more time in the temple.  I am grateful for the spiritual strength that comes form attending the temple.

Harper and Noah had a good time being with Evan, Greta, and Alexis.  The night, it was a Friday, Harper would not go to bed.  We were sleeping in the guest room and she kept getting out of bed. At about 10pm, I was ready to pack up and go home because I knew she was tired and that she would sleep in her own bed.  Derek and Alexis would't let me drive home and Alexis took Harper up to Greta's room and laid down with her till Harper fell asleep (about 10 minutes). Harper thought it was cool that she could sleep in Lucka's (Greta) room and bed.  She slept all night by herself in Greta's bed. I was worried she would wake up and cry out but she did not make a sound.

Saturday morning, Derek and Alexis took Harper with them to Evan and Greta's Cross Country race while Noah and I slept in.  Noah is not sleeping through the night yet so I was pretty tired and needed some extra rest.  Alexis said when they pulled into the park where the race was being held Harper asked "race?"

Noah is a watcher. You can tell he is taking it all in.

Greta is 11 and almost as tall as me.

Evan and Noah are buddies.  Evan is really sweet with Noah and likes to hold him.
